Our CSR Commitments

At Idema, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a voluntary approach that integrates social, environmental, and economic concerns into all our activities. We are proud to have received the ECOVADIS Silver Medal in April 2025, placing us among the top 15% (and more precisely 9%!) of evaluated companies worldwide, attesting to our strong commitment and tangible results.

These values are also central to our mission: to promote sports for all by encouraging physical education through high-quality, innovative, and durable solutions.

Sustainability and respect for the environment guide all of our actions. That’s why we conducted a full carbon footprint assessment of our activities and hold ISO14001 certification, confirming our ongoing efforts to reduce our ecological impact. 

This approach is also reflected in our product range, with the aim of expanding our selection of eco-responsible products each year.

In addition, our initiatives include the installation of 429 photovoltaic panels across our three sites, and an electric vehicle fleet that makes up nearly half of our total vehicles.

Awareness is also at the heart of our efforts. That’s why we created an internal “Environment Team” that regularly organizes events like Mobility Week and Green Friday, as well as actions to promote biodiversity, such as maintaining a vegetable garden, creating a wild garden, or sourcing local organic fruit and vegetable baskets.

Idema is also deeply rooted in the local community: 85% of our employees live within 30km of their workplace, helping to reduce the environmental impact of commuting. We also support about twenty local associations and sports clubs each year and regularly donate to the Red Cross.  

Promoting Inclusion and Diversity

At Idema, we value diversity in all its forms: gender, nationality, or disability. Our team includes eight different nationalities, and we actively employ people with disabilities. Our turnover rate (11%) is significantly lower than the Belgian national average (17.5%), which reflects a positive and inclusive work environment.

We invest heavily in the skills of our employees: in 2024, more than 75% of our staff participated in professional training, including first aid, VCA certification, and language courses.

Our inclusive approach is also evident in our product offering: we design innovative solutions that promote inclusion, social diversity, and fair play, particularly through new sports activities that are accessible to all, including people with disabilities.

Health, Safety and Well-being at Work

At Idema, health, safety, and well-being are daily priorities. Our dedicated team implements numerous initiatives, such as fire prevention, in-depth risk assessments, employee well-being surveys, and rigorous medical follow-ups for high-risk positions.

We also ensure that new employees are integrated smoothly through a mentoring system.

To foster a healthy and enjoyable work environment, we offer weekly sports and relaxation activities (fitness, padel, meditation) and biweekly fruit distributions to encourage healthy eating. Our “Team Events” also organizes various social events throughout the year, such as team-building sessions, breakfasts, and festive occasions, strengthening bonds within the team.

Loyalty and Ethics

Every year, we rigorously evaluate more than 50 suppliers based on strict criteria: relationship quality, product expertise, logistical efficiency, financial performance, and above all, their CSR engagement. In 2024, 80% of our suppliers responded to our CSR evaluation.

This approach allows us to prioritize partners who share our values and guarantee responsible, sustainable, and ethical procurement.
